I found out today that my chosen LLC name, “Heavy Caliber Publishing LLC”, is available and the paperwork is being processed. Terrific.

Over the past few weeks I’ve been steadily knocking one item after another off my agenda list. I think when you are launching a venture from the ground-up like this, it’s critical to break it into easily digestible chunks.

So, the LLC is in the process of coming to life. With it has come the arrival of a facebook fan page, a twitter account linked to said facebook fan page (please follow one or preferably both!), and now a series of additional steps are in play.

And I need your help:

1) I am looking for recommendations for a good designer / web person that can take jonathancg.net to a new, revamped level. Ideal person would have an eye for design and usability with a focus on social network integration. And I want better commenting features than are provided by my wordpress site.
This is a paying gig. Need examples of work if anyone out there is interested or sends anyone my way…

2) I need a good ebook prep service. I’m looking for someone or some entity that could also provide cover-art, layout, and compatibility with the latest file formats, including KD8.
