My debut novel, The Tyrant Strategy: Revenant Man, is getting closer and closer to publication. As such, I thought I’d give all of you a brief teaser of what’s been in progress for so many months.
Together with the creative minds at Indie Author Services, we’ve crafted a novel cover appropriate for the book and its background: the fragile Earth of 2142, a world where mankind is still living in the shadows of a war waged with a madman ninety-seven years earlier — a place where the Serpican Police are so fanatically enforcing the peace; a peace they must provide to claim the Nartuni promise of faster-than-light travel. Authors tend to encounter transitional periods, where their careers either step up or down. Websites are much the same way, hitting critical points where they advance or slip into obsolescence. In this business, good contacts can make a lot of difference in how those transitional periods go. And a good website can become a partner unto itself – or a boat anchor, chain firmly tied around your neck.

I wrestled with the key term in this post, but the word “partnership” struck me as the most appropriate. Simply put, as a start-up independent publisher I have been reminded again and again the advantages of outsourcing some of the heavy lifting.
